Club Lotto: The club Lotto stands at €3,000. The next draw is Monday night the 27th June in the club house. The numbers drawn were 8,9,16,30 – Congratulations Gerry O’Neill, Donal Kirby, Phylis Hayes & Bríd Teefy who won in the lucky dips. County Junior A Football League: On Thursday last,23rd June, we descended on Knocklong for the final of the County Junior A Football League and the meeting of Bally and Camogue Rovers. Rovers got the perfect start with a goal almost straight from the throw in, followed immediately by a point to open up an early 4pt lead. Bally settled in to the game and got off the mark after 4min with a point from P. Martin, followed 10min later by a goal from Jack Cross to level the scores . Rovers replied with 2pts of their own to edge in front again, Bally and the rovers exchange a further point each to leave the score 1:05-1:02 to the Rovers at HT.
Much like the first half the rovers started the 2nd half the better with 2pts straight away. Both teams exchange a number of scores in the next 10 minutes to follow but the killer blow came 22min in to the half when Rovers were awarded a penalty which they dispatched to the net to further extend their lead to 8pts, but Bally got the final 2pts in the game but the game was beyond doubt and Camogue Rovers ran out 2:11-1:08 winners.

Bon Secours Intermediate County League Semi-Final
On Tuesday 21st June, we contested the Intermediate hurling league County Final in Mick Neville Park to take on Tournafulla . Bally started the game brightly with the opening point from Jason Cross after 3min, and both teams exchanged points to leave the game 0:03-0:03 at the midpoint in the first half but alas this was the closest bally would come to Tout for the rest of the game. Tour picked off 2 unanswered points and a goal from play before Bally replied with a point of their own from Pa Byrnes to Give Tournafulla a 4pt Lead at the half time interval 1:06-0:05.
Tour start the second half the strongest with 3pts within the first 10min before bally replied with 2pts of their own. Bally struggled to find the pace of the game against a well oiled Tournafulla team who scored a further 2 goals to see out the contest on a score of 3:13-0:09.

Condolences : The Club are saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Jeremy McCarthy at the age of 46. A native & resident of Caherelly (Castle) Jeremy followed in the footsteps of his illustrious Father Tony & was a very active underage player with the club in the 1980’s & 90’s . His many medals included a County U16 divisional hurling title & East U21B hurling both in 1992. Jeremy had great hurling skills which he honed both on the training field in Caherelly & in the ball alleys at the famed St. Flannan’s College in Ennis where he schooled . While he did not graduate to play at adult level within the club he was a great supporter & kept a keen interest of our various matches & events . He was also enjoying the run of success that Limerick were presently having & loved the big day out to matches . Jeremy was a very kind person & loved nothing more than a quiet pint while watching hurling or rugby matches . He loved to recall his fathers exploits with pride on the rugby & hurling fields in the 1950’s & 60’s with Ballybricken, UCD, Faughs GAA Club & Geraldines . Jeremy will be greatly missed locally & will be remembered for his warm & friendly personality .
